Dr. James Gore is the owner of Family Medical Center and Internal Medical Center and has been practicing medicine for over 31 years. He initially went to dental school and became a dentist in 1982. Dr. Gore furthered his education and received his medical degree from University of Florida in 1986. He served and practiced medicine in the United States Navy in San Diego, California before relocating to his hometown of Griffin, GA in 1992.


His fields of interest include occupational medicine, orthopedics and auto immune disorders. He is a Senior Aviation Medical Examiner for the Federal Aviation Administration and is also a Certified Medical Examiner for the Federal Department of Transportation. He has participated in numerous medical mission trips over the years serving as both a dentist and physician.

Dr. Kristin Gore is a board certified Family Medicine physician with experience in global health/tropical medicine, urgent care, geriatric medicine, adolescent medicine, and pediatrics. Dr. Gore received her Associate of Science in Biology from Gordon College in 2001 and her Bachelor of Science in Psychology/Chemistry from Augusta State University in 2003. She went to medical school at The American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine and graduated in 2008. She then completed a Family Medicine/Global Health residency at AnMed Health in Anderson, SC in 2012. She also obtained an International Medicine & Public Health Diploma in 2014.

Dr. Gore has worked at Family Medical Center in Griffin since 2001. Her areas of interest are mental health, tropical/travel medicine, ADD/ADHD, and diabetes management. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
